Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
113 grams or 4 ozs of softened Butter
113 grams or 4 ozs of brown sugar
57 grams or 2 ozs of white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
171 grams or 6 ozs Plain flour
½ tsp baking Powder/soda
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup chocolate chips (or more, we won’t judge)
Steps:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or 180°C Fan. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until smooth.
Add the egg and vanilla. Mix well.
Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking tray.
Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers look slightly soft.
Let them sit on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
And there you go—homemade chocolate chip cookies. Soft, sweet, and beginner-approved.
