
Chocolate Fudge Cake
Ingredients for Chocolate Fudge Cake
200g (7oz) unsalted butter
200g (7oz) dark chocolate, chopped
200g (7oz) caster sugar
4 eggs
100g (3.5oz) plain flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
Oven: 180°C Fan / 200°C Electric / Gas 6
Steps:
Preheat oven 180°C Fan / 200°C Electric / Gas Mark 6
Grease and line a 20cm (8in) cake tin.
Melt butter and chocolate together gently, stir until smooth.
Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy, fold in chocolate mixture. Fold in flour and vanilla.
Pour into tin, bake 25–30 mins until set but slightly fudgy in the centre.
Test with a skewer — should come out mostly clean but slightly gooey.
