Sausage rolls and Pies can be cheated at home, and produce great results. Normally cheating is done when short of time to spend on preparing, pastry for pies and sausage rolls. There are lots of pastry pre made in rolls or blocks that can produce great results. Just by using a little imagination and wonderous things can be achieved.

I found that the roll out pastry from Lidl to be of the best whether using Puff or Shortcrust. Sausage rolls and pies with the puff pastry, while Jam tarts, mince pies from the shortcrust. As a qualified Baker I should be telling you to make your own. But I live in the real world its not always possible. With all of this in mind home Pastry cannot be beat. The only thing you have to consider is do you tell or just soak up the praise.
