
Mince Pies
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet ready-made shortcrust pastry
- 200g (7oz) mincemeat (shop-bought or homemade)
- Icing sugar for dusting
Oven: 180°C Fan / 200°C Electric / Gas 6
Steps with Banter:
- Preheat oven. Roll out pastry, cut into circles or squares to line mini tart tins.
- Fill each case with a spoonful of mincemeat. Top with pastry lids, press edges to seal. Optional: small star cut-outs for festive flair.
- Bake 15–20 mins until golden. Cool slightly, dust with icing sugar. Warning: someone will probably swipe a warm pie.
Tip: Use different pastry cutters, flower shapes Christmas trees for the tops of your mince pies, or just a couple of strips of pastry.
