Vanilla Frosting
This is a classic American buttercream. Sweet, fluffy, and ready to swirl.
Ingredients: For Vanilla Frosting
113 grams unsalted butter, softened
190 grams to 250 grams or 1½ to 2 cups Icing sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Beat the softened butter until creamy.
Add Icing sugar a little at a time, beating slowly at first to avoid a sugar storm.
Add vanilla extract, salt, then milk one spoon at a time until you get your perfect texture—smooth and spreadable or thick for piping.
Want to colour it? Add a drop of food colouring and mix!
Frost with a piping bag or spread with a knife—whatever feels fun.
Tips for Beginners
Either Buy a good one or you can buy disposable ones online.
Although with practice you can make them out of grease/parchment paper,
I will see if I can make a video on how it’s done. And post it on the website,
But don’t worry about perfection! Here are a few tips to keep it simple:
Use a zip-top bag as a piping bag. Just snip the corner.
